Benjamin H. Adams is a nationally recognized trial lawyer with prominent experience in asbestos litigation and other toxic torts. He is a partner in the Oakland, California law firm of Kazan, McClain, Satterley & Greenwood. Prior to joining Kazan Law, Mr. Adams was a partner and lead trial lawyer at Dean Omar Branham Shirley, LLP.

In the fifteen years Mr. Adams has practiced law, he has secured over $640 million in mesothelioma jury verdicts on behalf of individuals and families harmed by asbestos companies.

  • $63.4 million jury verdict against Johnson & Johnson and American International Industries for causing the mesothelioma of a lifelong user of Johnson’s Baby Powder and Clubman talc
  • $260 million jury verdict against Johnson & Johnson for causing the mesothelioma of a 49-year-old mother who used Johnson’s Baby Powder daily for 36 years
  • $45 million jury verdict against Johnson & Johnson, Kenvue Inc., and Johnson & Johnson Holdco, Inc. for causing the mesothelioma and death of a mother of six who used Johnson’s Baby Powder for over 50 years
  • $107.3 million jury verdict against Union Carbide Corporation, EF Brady Company Inc., and Elementis Chemicals Inc. for causing the mesothelioma and death of a 45-year-old father who was exposed to asbestos while working as a janitor
  • $52.1 million jury verdict against Avon Products Inc. and Hyster-Yale Group for causing the mesothelioma of a lifelong talc user whose husband was an auto parts worker
  • $5.2 million jury verdict against Fisher Controls for causing the mesothelioma and death of an industrial worker
  • $26.45 million jury verdict against Metalclad Insulation Corporation for causing the mesothelioma and death of a single mother exposed to Metalclad’s asbestos insulation while working as a janitor at several So Cal Edison power plants in Southern California
  • $81.5 million jury verdict against Genuine Parts Company and National Automative Parts Association for causing the mesothelioma and death of an auto mechanic and heavy equipment operator
